This is a continuation of laundry loads that need to be washed separately.

Sweaters

In general, sweaters should be washed with cold water. Hoodies and sweaters are made from thick and heavy material. They also can contain rich dyes which can stain other clothing. The heavy material can cause other clothing to thin out.

Delicates

These items require cold washing water. They can also be washed by hand or on a delicate washing setting. Delicate clothing is made from fine material and can get ruined if they are but with dissimilar items.

Towels

Towels are very fluffy and fibrous. If anything else is washed with them they will transfer fiber material onto the other laundry. Towels also get heavy during a wash because they absorb water and detergent.

Reds

If you have the opportunity you should wash red clothing separately in warm water. Red laundry items usually contain rich dyes which can transfer to other items. However, if you don’t have a lot of red clothing just wash these with the other dark clothing items.

Blacks

Again, if you have the opportunity you should wash your black clothing in a separate load in cold water. Blacks have rich dyes which can seep out into the washing water and stain items. If you wash with warm or hot water this will cause your black clothing to fade and grey. Lighter clothing will transfer light fibers to your dark clothing and it can be annoying to remove.
