When it comes to drying dishes we may be limited for materials and space. Say you don’t have drying rack. There are other ways to dry dishes without it. You could also be on a budget, don’t have enough time to go shopping or need to do laundry. Here are alternative ways to dry dishes.

1. Use the Sink

After washing your dishes you can place them in the other empty sink to dry. You can rinse them before placing them there or you can do all the dishes and then rinse them all at once.

2. Use a Drying Rack

This works best to air dry dishes when you don’t have dish towels. Most of use some type of drying rack or drip tray. You can place them in the empty sink or beside it. These all come with special grooves and compartment to place dishes for drying. Plastic drying rack as recommended sink metal ones tend to rust if they aren’t protected or poorly made.

3. Place a Dish Towel on the Counter

Spread out a dish towel over a clean and empty counter space. Place rinsed dishes on top of the dish towel and allow them to dry. This works best when you need to dry just a few dishes. Don’t get the cloth too wet or it won’t help the dishes dry effectively.

4. Place Paper Towel on the Counter

This works similarly to the dish towel method where you spread out paper towel on a clean counter surface. Most paper towel is absorbent and won’t fall apart easily.

5. Use a Dish Towel

If you don’t have a drying rack or enough space for drying dishes this method is useful. After rinsing each dish wipe it dry immediately with a clean dish towel.
