Silver jewelry is a luxurious item you can own. However, this jewelry needs extra maintenance for cleaning. Overtime it’s inevitable that silver jewelry tarnishes and needs to be polished to return its brilliant sheen. There is a simple eco-friendly way to clean silver that is fast and efficient.
For silver cleaning, you will need a bucket, baking soda, a soft brush, an aluminum plate and a soft cloth. Brush the silver items to loosen some dirt. Boil 1 quart or 4 cups of water and pour it into the bucket. Add 2 tablespoons of baking soda to the water. If you need more water remember that for every 2 cups of water you need 1 tablespoon of baking soda. Mix it well and then add the aluminum plate.
Place the silver items on the aluminum plate. Make sure that the jewelry items are fully submerged. Add additional water if they aren’t. Leave the jewelry items in the bucket for a least half an hour. When the time is up, remove the jewelry and dry it with a soft cloth. The silver jewelry should be back to its original brilliance.
