Many of us make New Year’s resolutions. Not a lot of us end up keeping them though. If you want to keep your resolutions for 2018 you have to make some changes. Here are 5 ways to help keep your New Year’s resolutions.

Define Your Goals

Many of our resolutions are too broad. This makes them hard to keep because there are no guidelines to getting to our goals. Break down a realistic plan to achieve your goals.

Make Check Points

Having check points will keep your on track. Like landmarks during a road trip check points will keep you on track and prevent you from going astray on your journey. It also helps you keep track of your progress.

Leave Room For Flexibility

Nothing is perfect and life always happens to our plans. Leave room for the unexpected life occurrences and don’t stick to a strenuous plan or routine. Also allow for breaks in between to keep yourself from burning out.

Keep A Planner or Calendar

Having a calendar can help you plan your goals and gives you an idea of your progress. You can get a hard copy of a calendar or use a app to help you plan your goals.

Don’t Do It Alone

It’s better to do things as a group. This keeps you motivated and gives you support where you need it. It also makes you less likely to quit or lose interest  in your goals.
